Mar 10 - Exiled Tibetans mark the 49th anniversary of an uprising against Chinese rule.

With the Beijing Olympics only months away Tibetans world-wide are hoping to breathe new impetus into their demands for an end to what they say is China's illegal occupation of their homeland.

Paul Chapman reports.

SOUNDBITE: Kelsang Gope, unofficial representative of the Tibetan National Olympic Committee, saying (English):
"Our torch, our flame, is burning always for the cause of Tibet, for the cause of Tibetans living in Tibet under the pressure of the Chinese government. So we wanted to give them hope and also all people suffering under oppression."
